Bespoke Products reviewer walkthrough

00:00:00 — Start in Settings

Start here after installing ODT - Bespoke Products. This development store already has the app and a test plan.

00:00:10 — Protect checkout

Activate checkout protection once. Check existing products repairs older rules; you do not need to save each product again.

00:00:22 — Set up prices and appearance

Use Settings for the theme links and service charges. Create a service charge for work such as name printing, then link it to an option.

00:00:35 — Find your Shopify products

Products come straight from Shopify. Type part of a name and the list updates. You do not need to import your catalogue.

00:00:46 — Open the option editor

Keep the main product, description, base price and native variants in Shopify. Use this editor for extra choices and customer details.

00:00:57 — Keep long option lists clear

Use collapsible sections and a selection summary. The layout preview helps you check how the sections fit together.

00:01:08 — Explain each choice

Add rich text, links and images to a choice. Customers see these details when they select it.

00:01:19 — Save your changes

Edit the help text, then save the product. The confirmation shows that the updated options are now saved.

00:01:30 — Show only relevant fields

This size field appears only for neoprene socks. Conditions keep unrelated choices out of the customer form.

00:01:41 — Link a real charge

This name badge is linked to a GBP 15 service charge. A price label alone cannot charge the customer.

00:01:53 — Choose a linked variant

Choose one variant from the source product. Shopify shows its current price and stock. This badge uses the selected GBP 15 service.

00:02:05 — Reuse option sets

Start with an example or save your own template. Apply it to a product, check its links, then save that product.

00:02:16 — Remove templates you do not need

You can delete saved templates and examples. Confirm the deletion. Options already saved on products stay in place.

00:02:27 — Restore the examples

Restore example templates brings back removed examples. It does not recover a deleted personal template; export those before deletion.

00:02:38 — Find clear instructions

Search Help for the task you need. The paid-extra guide explains when to use a service charge or a stocked physical product.

00:02:51 — Choose colours and images

Now use the customer view. Pick a colour and cover image. This notebook uses included options with no extra charge.

00:03:03 — Add personal details

Choose paper features, enter a page count, then add a made-up name and lettering style. Required fields are marked.

00:03:16 — Reveal a related choice

Gift wrap reveals a required message field. Without gift wrap, the customer does not need to complete that field.

00:03:28 — Review the selection

Open the summary to check the choices and total. The form confirms when all required fields are complete.

00:03:38 — Add the configured product

Add the completed notebook to the cart. Its selected options travel with the product.

00:03:48 — Use existing stock for extras

The classic weight system is available; the vertical system is sold out. Each extra uses the price and stock of its linked Shopify variant.

00:03:59 — Let customers choose a quantity

One unit means one trim pocket. Two pockets add GBP 30. Available stock limits how many the customer can add.

00:04:11 — Add the product and its extras

Add the base product and the selected physical extras together. They remain separate Shopify lines for price and stock control.

00:04:21 — Read one clear cart group

The optional cart display groups paid extras with their product. Open it to see the selected options and price breakdown.

00:04:33 — Remove a whole configuration

This cart also had an earlier drysuit configuration. Remove item removes that product and its linked extras together.

00:04:43 — Mix standard products

A standard Shopify product still uses its normal Add to cart button. Add one beside the configured products.

00:04:53 — Remove a standard item on its own

Remove the standard item. The configured notebook and the product with paid extras remain in the cart.

00:05:01 — Stock belongs to the combination

Ocean blue is sold out at 60 cm. Change to 90 cm and it is available. Native Shopify variants keep each combination separate.

00:05:14 — Continue to Shopify checkout

Shopify checkout shows the product lines and readable choices. The cart display does not replace checkout. This video stops before payment.
